Nanotechnology Manufacturing
Thank you for visiting and supporting us here at Nanotechnology Manufacturing. Remember Star Trek? They used a device called a “replicator” which could instantly manufacture any physical object – from a laptop computer to a cup of tea. Well, this is exactly the eventual outcome of nanotechnology manufacturing research. The replicator would use nanoscale manipulators to position atoms and molecules and like a assembly line factory – build larger and larger component parts until the full size product was finished. There is a great video of this (actually several nanotech videos) in the Videos category.
Nanotechnology Manufacturing will turn our world’s economies on their heads. Many manufacturing industries may be made obsolete and society could be transformed forever. Molecular manufacturing could spawn another industrial revolution that completely changes the way we do business. At the same time, such advances could make it easy and cheap to produce powerful weapons. The ability to produce this kind of drastic change is the reason that nanotechnology is often referred to as a “disruptive” technology. The more we become educated about the dangers and possibilities of nanotechnology manufacturing, the better we can make wise choices as we drive our planet into the future.
